HAMPTON HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION INC

BOARD MEETING

THURSDAY, May 14, 2026

Pledge of Allegiance

Call to Order and Roll Call

 

Brian Noel called the meeting to order at 7pm.

All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

 

Roll Call - Frank Forant took roll call.  All present except Jane, who was excused.   

 

Approval of Minutes – Frank Forant asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the 3/12/26 meeting.  Motion was made, seconded and approved.

 

Treasurer Report - Howard presented the Treasurer's report and also advised it was posted.  Howard advised that for events, we take out a 24 hr insurance just  for that event.  He advised that all the  board members have tickets to sell for the upcoming comedy show.  A motion was made to accept the Treasurer's report and it was seconded and approved by the board.

 

Welcome Committee – Sharon Guy gave report on Welcome Committee.  5 new residents  this month.  Somewhere around 30 homes since the beginning of the year.

 

Community Concerns Committee – Sharon Guy gave report on this committee.  We are trying to get a handle on the feral cats that have been seen both on the golf course and at peoples homes.  Sharon reminded everyone of he container for lost and found.  With regard to the dog park renovation, that is temporarily on hold.  There is the question of preserving the tree in the park.  Sun is looking into this.   Putters will be closed for last two weeks of month for some renovation.  Food trucks will be available during this shutdown.  Sun is doing walkarounds weekly and talking to residents as to their concerns.  Sharon pointed out that this is a good thing.

 

ByLaws – Marianne advised that we had a committee consisting of past members and present members of the board to review the bylaws.  We put in 250 man hours. Linda Kidd and Mike Barry were on this committee.  Sharon Guy and Marianne reviewed the 723 front to back.  Jane, Frank and Greig were also  on the committee.  This project was finished in four weeks.  The new bylaws will be posted on the website.  Marianne thanked the committee for their hard work and said it was the best committee she was ever on.  A copy was sent to our attorney for review.  Motion was made for acceptance of by laws, seconded and approved.

 

Recycling – Frank Forant thanked the volunteers for their hard work at the can crusher.  He also asked that anyone who wants to volunteer to see him after the meeting

 

Questions –

  1. Mike Barry asked if we are going to buy the publication that compares lot rents. Brian replied no.
