Minutes for Hamptons HOA Board of Directors Meeting

February 12, 2026

Brought to order at 7pm by John Lindacher, President.

After the Pledge of Allegiance and rollcall, John’s first order of business was to swear in the new directors.  Brian Noel, Frank Forant, Grieg Bernard, Gino Rankin.

John then turned the meeting over to the new board:

Brian Noel began by reading the HOA mission statement.

He then announced that Hall of Fame nominations will be accepted.  The award will be given at the Appreciation Dinner in April.

Going forward, any questions from the residents to the board will be answered.  If an answer is not available, we will find it.  You can reach us by phone, by email, or put a note in the suggestion box.  

Brian asked that any questions asked at the meetings be asked in a civil way.  We are here to help each other.

Treasurers Report

Howard Korn thanked everyone who helped in the car show.  Despite the poor weather, we had 23 cars there and people enjoyed the show.  We made about $200 at the show.  He will have a final report at the next meeting.  

Howard read the Treasurers report.  

Howard reminded us that Sun will not accept donations from the HOA.  We had put aside money to add an amenity, but Sun would not accept it.  We are looking for better insurance as our insurance is now $7,000.  Motion to accept the treasurers report was seconded and passed

Secretary Report

Motion to accept the Secretary Report was made, seconded, and approved.

We still have 200 membership packets that were not delivered because members were not home.  Marianne will continue to be involved with secretarial duties along with Frank.  We have membership forms to get out and we have census forms to collect and we must update all records for the upcoming 2027 directory.  Marianne will take the lead on the directory.  Marianne reminded everyone to complete the census forms.

Events

Sandy Lehman announced the Hall of Fame award will be presented on April 12, 2026 at the Appreciation Dinner.  The Hall of Fame award is decided by former winners and the HOA board.  Tickets go on sale on March 2, 2026.   

Welcome Committee and Bingo Report

Sue Wolf announced that this will be her last report as she is leaving the board.  In December we had four new residents.  Sue visited two of them and gave them the membership packet.  January had 5 new residents.

Bingo prizes for December were $4,142.50   Attendance was 314

Howard Korn praised Sue Wolf’s work on the Welcome committee and asked the audience for a hand.

Audience Questions

Brian related a story to the audience about vendors.   He said to be wary of some vendors and get three estimates before hiring one.  Not all vendors are looking out for you.

The resident from lot number 377 made comments regarding the723 statute and our bylaws.  He did not ask any questions.
